The Jets just want me to keep writing about them.

So Geno Smith throws 3 INTs and basically loses the starting job to Mark Sanchez, what does Rex Ryan do? Throws Sanchez in there behind the 2nd string line and lets him get crushed. It was first thought to be a broken collar bone, but luckily Sanchez escaped with just a bruised shoulder joint.

The question has to be asked, how does Rex Ryan still have a job? Yes, the Jets went to the AFC Championship game back to back, 3 years ago…but let’s be honest the defense carried them those years. Ryan has made some bad calls and this is among the worst. To put Sanchez in a preseason game in the 4th qtr of a blow out is just bad coaching! Greg McElroy has to see time there.

So glad I am not a Jets fan. I hope that the fans make it through this year because I couldn’t.

B’more2Boston Takes the Words Out of My Mouth! Miley does her thing!

via b’

“Honest question, when Miley throws a party, what doesn’t happen?  I mean, nothing’s off the table during her parties, right?  Like, if some people want to have a 10 person orgy, no one’s saying no.  VMA after party must have gotten real weird.”

The Internet is up in a tizzy over Miley Cyrus’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Guess what, I am not! It’s not because I think Miley is hot, because honestly she is not. It’s because we need a crazy person in entertainment! We had Britney, we had Kanye, we had Gaga and we had Bynes! Now that Bynes is out of our minds, Miley did her thing, she is what we are talking about at the water coolers and on Social Media. She is the performer that when she comes out everyone wants to know what she is going to do next.

Let’s put it this way if you get put on a Jay-Z song you are being noticed.

Jay-Z “Somewhereinamerica”

“Cause somewhere in America
Miley Cyrus is still twerkin’

Twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk
Twerk, Miley, Miley, twerk
Twerk, Miley, Miley, Miley, twerk
Twerk, yeah, ugh-huh
Twerk, Miley, Miley, Miley
Only in America”

P.S. What happened to this girl?

Guess Who’s Back, Back Again?! Slim Shady to Return!

Although most people that watched The MTV Music Awards are talking about NSYNC and Miley Twerkin’, the most important development that occurred was that Eminem announced his new album is dropping November 5! In a Beats by Dre commercial THIS happened!

This will be Eminem’s first album since Recovery in 2010. The new album will be named MMLP2 (Marshall Mathers LP2), he released the first Marshall Mathers LP back in 2000 and is my favorite Eminem album. Some of the tracks from the original MMLP were “Kill You“, “Stan” and “Drug Ballad“.

Sometimes I wish they wouldn’t announce album drops this early because now I have to wait 2 and half months until MMLP2 comes out. The good news is Eminem is dropping “”Berzerk” tomorrow, I know I am going to be downloading it off iTunes and I think there are going to be a lot of others that are going to be doing the same. The song is described as a Party Anthem and that sounds AMAZING.

Here is the trailer for “Berzerk”

Joe Flacco Talks about Ray Lewis’s Pep Talks

via ThePostGame

“I love Ray,” Flacco said, “and I love how he always spoke from the heart, but if you listened to those speeches, a lot of them didn’t even make sense. He meant everything he was saying, but I didn’t know what he was talking about 90 percent of the time.”

“Ray is the best motivational speaker anywhere,” Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo told USA Today. “It’s not just what he says, but how he says it. He gets inside your soul.”

I love this, Ray Lewis basically just talked with passion and that pumped his team up? I just figured at least the team knew what he was talking about when he spoke, but that doesn’t hold true. We all know that Ray Ray likes to rant, but its crazy to think that having no real message would make a team play harder. Hey if it works keep doing it and it worked for a second Lewis Super Bowl ring. I hope to hear of more athletes just rambling and teams going on to win a championship.

You know what? I think I am going to have to try that for our BSSC football league starting in a couple weeks. I’m going to make a speech with conviction about something I care deeply about. I will report back as to how the team performed.

Allen Iverson Set to Retire!

Allen Iverson was one of those players that you either hated or you loved. He had point guard size, but was mostly a shooter and boy did he shoot a lot. One thing about AI is he gave 100% every game he played and that is the reason his career ended a few years earlier than it should of. Iverson would take it hard to the hoop no matter who was protecting the rim. At 6’0″ and 165 lbs he was pound for pound one of the best players in NBA history.

There is no doubt in my mind that Iverson is a Hall of Famer and I know that people will disagree with that and that is there prerogative, but you won’t change my mind.

So Allen Iverson thank you for your career and giving players your size a hope to make it to the NBA!

Check out some of Iverson’s best plays!

If that doesn’t get you who could forget THIS?

UPDATED! New York Jets just keep getting worse…

Sorry for the broken link! The video now works!

I feel like the only thing good coming out of Jets camp this year are amazing pictures and videos! Here is a great video of Mark Sanchez getting tapped in the butt by a teammate! I think Sanchez liked it a little too much! Hey Jets maybe worry about getting better rather than messing around and playing hanky panky on the sidelines!

See the video HERE!!

Atlanta Braves OF Jason Heyward Hit by Pitch in Face.

The Atlanta Braves recently lost Tim Hudson to a broken ankle when Eric Young accidentally stepped on his ankle at first base. Fast forward to Wednesday and now Jason Heyward is out 4-6 weeks after getting hit in the face by Jonathon Niese with a fastball. The HBP is definitely an accident, but it is a little ironic that both injuries happened against the Mets. I was listening to the game on the radio and the announcers believe there was no intention behind the pitch.

With that being said where does that leave the Braves? They recovered nicely after Hudson’s injury to the tune of a 20-5 record. Can they do it again? Heyward was moved to the lead off position and the Braves went on a 19-4 run and Heyward was hitting .357/.426/.607. It’s going to be hard to replace that kind of production at the top of the order. My guess is the Braves are going to give Andrelton Simmons another shot at the lead off hitter and will be rotating Evan Gattis and Jordan Schafer in the outfield.

The Braves have a 15 game lead over the Nationals for the NL East title with 36 games left in the season. Even if the Braves go .500 over those 36 game the Nationals would have to go 33-3 so I wouldn’t be going out on a limb in saying the Braves should be fine. If Heyward misses 6 weeks then he wouldn’t be ready until the National League Championship Series and he wouldn’t be able to get in a rehab stint. This is a big loss for the Braves let’s hope just like when they lost Hudson the replacements step up and the Braves make a run at the World Series!
